Silos golf tournament for suicide awareness

The 6th Annual Lindsey's Legacy Tee Off for Suicide Awareness Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, July 11 from noon to 6 pm at the Silos Country Club in Kevil, KY. Over the past five tournaments, over $44,000 has been raised for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

The AFSP wants everyone to know that you're not alone. Whether your struggling or you've lost someone to suicide, there are people out there that want to share their personal stories to help and show solidarity. 

Right now, COVID-19 is taking a personal toll on many people. The financial and emotional struggles are real. It's tough to make ends meet. The isolation for many is unbearable. Everyone needs to find someone to make a connection with whether it be by phone, virtually, or through a glass pane window. Knowing someone else is out there is reassuring. To enter the tournament, the cost is $100 per two person team. A lunch will be served at 11:30 am by Backwoods BBQ in Paducah. There will be additional prizes for various challenges. The organizer for the event is Keith Fronabarger and he can be reached at 270-619-6000. 

Payment must be received by July 1. All proceeds go to AFSP.
