According to recent Facebook posts, a group of veterans that have been gathering at the Hardee's in Lone Oak, Kentucky for over a decade were asked to leave. The manager told the men to either remove the Trump flag from the property or disperse. The veterans refused because they were eating a Hardee's breakfast bought and paid for from the restaurant and the Trump flag was on their truck. The Sheriff was called and they left the property. After speaking to the general manager at Hardee's in Lone Oak she did say that indeed she asked the two men to either remove the Trump flag or they would have to leave the property. According to the GM, the men got upset, refused to leave, and said she should call the sheriff to make them move. And, she did. This will be the third general manager at the Hardee's location since January. The new GM said the other's left because they didn't want to deal with the situation anymore. She's referring to the group of men that gather in the parking lot outside Hardee's each morning since in-person dining isn't an option. She continued to say that Hardee's has a policy that asks patrons to keep political or offensive displays including signs, flags, and other similar forms of expression off the property. She was doing her job. Numerous complaints have been made by other customers regarding gatherings that take place at the Hardee's in Lone Oak and she's trying to be fair to everyone. The GM said she will continue to bring coffee to the gentlemen every morning and likes serving them. It's the large displays of flags and signs that cause a problem, regardless of political party. The dining room has been closed since the pandemic shuttered businesses but the men continued their tradition of buying and eating breakfast at the location every day for over 15 years, only now it's in the parking lot outside of Hardees in Lone Oak. The GM said sometimes the group will go to the Broadway Hardee's where there's still in-person dining. There are two Facebook posts below. The first is from Tom Lowe, one of several veterans that meet everyday at the local Hardee's. The other is from a member of the McCracken County Republican Party. This Facebook post is by Tom Lowe, a 'regular' at Hardees in Lone Oak, Kentucky that's been eating breakfast there for over 15 years. This post is by a member of the McCracken County Republican Party asking the community to join her in protest Saturday morning on the public sidewalk in front of Hardee's at 8 am.

That is correct. That is why I stated that in the comments under the post, as to not imply that I am speaking for or representing the Republican Party of Mccracken County.

Iisten here skank! Don't be trying to come on here and pretend you are me! I wasn't even at Hardee's! I was on my front porch crying, getting myself pumped up to make a video in my car.

My name is Kelley Hargrove I left Hardee’s a month ago in lone oak I was the GM and these men are great people I love each one of them and they are not the reason I left Hardee’s just to clear that up the girl that’s the gm now is one of the reasons I left she was a shift leader they transferred over and she treated my customers very bad . I can promise the higher ups that was my boss would have never told her to call the law on these men I truly believe this was all her doings . My boss said they can’t have the flags in our yard cause of complaints and my men in this group listened to what we asked and put it on their truck that’s their right it’s their truck and they should not have been treated this way but I can guarantee you my old bosses never had anything to do with this . We even did a story on news channel 6 when I ran the store with my men out their they are like our family we would do anything for them and they would for us as well . So shame on the new gm that was all on her not Hardee’s

Thank you, Kelly Hargrove for clearing that up. It is a sad day when you are told to leave an establishment that you support because you have a flag of your President on your vehicle. A clear statement must be made to those that wish to silence us, that we WILL NOT BE SILENCED OR BULLIED! You will not intimidate us, and you most certainly won't disrespect our veterans. If these businesses would defend their employees (in my case) or their customers (in the this case) this nonsense would stop.

Kelly thank you so much! We never wanted to cause any problems and feel we brought a lot of business to Hardees! We really had a good time flying our flag and waving at people honking at us in support. I knew this young lady was not telling the truth because she didn’t even know what all the flag stood for! I’m sure she will not last long! Thanks for being so nice to us, it is Hardee’s loss!

Conspiracy theories drive a mob of cult members who could care less about facts and reality in their veiled attempt to maintain privilege in an increasingly diverse country. Yes Trump exposed the racist ignorance that has infected some Americans. However please keep it on your property or display the cult flags in locations that do not belong to businesses normal people use.

this is kentucky, not california or new york, we in ky believe in the respect for our flag and respect the men and women that served our country, I would recommend that Hardy's fire this manager and apologize to these men

I know only one of these gentlemen, but I will say this. He is one of the nicest, most generous, and hard working people you will ever meet. He has done TONS of volunteer work for the Paducah community and contributed his time, efforts, and money to make it a better place.

Here McCracken County is in a financial COVID crisis. Many people in the county can't afford their own car payments right now and the McCracken County Fiscal Court raises property taxes so that the Sheriff's Department can buy 3 brand new 2020 Dodge Durangos. It's something to see how they are putting these vehicles to use. Harassing Veterans. Not happy!

This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, it’s time to stand up with our veterans and become Americans again. Wish I had seen this earlier as I am two hours away and cannot make it. Please post here if this will be a daily protest on public sidewalks. Would love to join

I too am a veteran. I can not believe this has happened. If Hardee's does not fire and cut all ties with the GM that forced the Veterans to leave I will never step foot on the property again. Plus I will be their worse advertising. Almost every vehicle has some bumper sticker supporting something. To selectively pick this group of men is obvious discrimination and should not be allowed. I hope the veterans take pictures of other vehicles with some form of support for something and then sue Hardee's plus the GM for doing this. Stand up for free speech or it may be yours suppressed next time.

I cried a little when Richard lost. It reminded me of how my ancestors also lost and that made me cry some more. We must cancel cancel cancel culture. I will still support Hardee's. The biscuits and gravy are delicious.

For the folks commenting all the crap (from about Republican Snowflake down to Sleeveless Terry), your ignorance is showing. This isn't even about who you support politically, it's that, as a paying customer of a public business, you can be kicked off the property for simply displaying your political opinion ON YOUR OWN VEHICLE. If you can't see the problem with this, without making it about which side your on, then you could be part of the problem.

On second thought, I agree with the GM of Hardee's. These people are free to display anything they want on their own property. Hardee's parking lot is private property and we must abide by their rules.

It's a cult of mindless wack jobs. Have a coffee with one of them and try to follow their positions. It's the whispers of absolutely mad people who have questions that lead them to ridiculous conspiracy theories. At the same time never making any attempt to verify or rationalize their view. Worst of all is their fear of loss of their rights without any evidence of it occurring.

This reminds me of the local cpa not wanting liberals on his property. Everyone was like omg that's horrible pull his ads. No wait... you liked that. Lol how about this? Eat the burger. Do the taxes. Leave the little trump and biden flags at home and just enjoy each others company. Make this town a nice warm welcoming place. A little less black face and giant political flags and a little more love. You can do it, you got this.

That hardees has become a craphole every since pandemic. Me and those guys use to sit inside hardees their trump hats my trump hoodie trump tote and trump shirts and not a word was said before. I was there the day after trump parade with mini trump flags at taped on my side mirrors i noticed they made me pull over and gave me the motorcycle next to me order and gave him mine. 🙄 That Hardees just made a big mistake guess they want to shut down. Southside supports trump I know that. Love me some southside Hardees.

I Have Read Your Blog You Have Given Good Information. Hardees menu is very remarkable in terms of providing different items daily. It does not provide anything unsuitable. Therefore, Hardee’s gives $2, $3, more as a breakfast menu. This menu is designed to make breakfast a breeze.
