Menards, the Midwest home improvement giant, will open its Paducah, Kentucky location on the Tuesday after Labor Day, September 8. Employees have been busy stocking the shelves to prepare for the grand opening. The home improvement store had planned to open earlier this year, but CoV-2 had other plans.
The pandemic has affected the economy, jobs, and activities. Lives have been put on hold. Businesses have been trying to survive. Communities have been pulling together to make the best of a terrible situation. With that being said, it's nice to see a huge retailer open its doors. The store looks great! The lights are on throughout the building. The lighting/hardware area for homeowners and businesses is lit up like a Christmas tree. The Garden Center has rows and rows of pavers in every shape, color, and brand. Upon entering the store, shelves are stocked and aisles are wide revealing plenty of open space for social distancing. Everything is clean, neat, and CDC compliant. As employees are 'masking-up' and preparing for the crowds, signs will be placed throughout the store along with other precautions. See Menards COVID-19 updates. The region is very blessed to have another strong home improvement retailer to provide product for new construction, renovations, and do-it-yourself home owners.
